A Call from the Workers of Gaza to Labor Unions Around the World: A Cry in the Face of Starvation and Genocide | Palestinian Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement

We bring to you the statement of the workers of Gaza, issued by the Palestine General Federation of Trade Unions, addressed to the workers and unions of the world—this final appeal they have named “A Cry Before Death.” It reaches us from the midst of hunger and siege, from beneath the rubble of factories and homes, and from the heart of a continuing war of extermination that has gone on for nearly 22 months alongside a systematic policy of mass starvation executed by “Israel” with direct support from the United States and its European partners.

Starship Stormtroopers: Michael Moorcock | libcom.org

There is Lovecraft, the misogynic racist; there is Heinlein, the authoritarian militarist; there is Ayn Rand, the rabid opponent of trade unionism and the left, who, like many a reactionary before her, sees the problems of the world as a failure by capitalists to assume the responsibilities of ‘good leadership’; there is Tolkein and that group of middle-class Christian fantasists who constantly sing the praises of bourgeois virtues and whose villains are thinly disguised working class agitators — fear of the Mob permeates their rural romances. After more than a decade in the United States, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital chaplain Ayman Soliman was callously arrested and detained by ICE in July.

He already had asylum; his status was revoked. But Ayman is much loved by his community, the children and caregivers whose lives he touched, and people of all faiths. He has them, God, and a terrific legal team by his side.

You can help by donating to support Ayman’s legal and personal expenses as he fights to obtain an immigration bond and win his asylum case for the second time.

Returning to Egypt is not an option for Ayman — it would be a death sentence. He and his community have faith that justice will prevail and, with everyone’s support, he will be free again in the United States.

Thank you.
