We keep resisting: US and Canada sanction Samidoun | Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network

On October 15, the United States and Canada sanctioned Samidoun in an attempt to repress political organizing in support of the Palestinian people’s struggle against genocide, colonialism and occupation, and the more than 10.000 Palestinian political prisoners that are being tortured and killed by the Zionist entity. In the US, the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced the sanctions, while the Canadian governmenthas listed Samidoun as a “terrorist entity” under its criminal code.

These decisions come at a time when the Zionist entity continues its genocide and massacres in Gaza, all of Palestine and Lebanon with full support from the US, Canada and the European Union. It is a coordinated attempt by the enemies of the Palestinian people to stop every form of solidarity with the Palestinian people and political organizing efforts to end Israel’s genocide, crimes against humanity and occupation.

Israel burned alive children in tents — again. Now what? – Good Shepherd Collective

We are more than 12 months into a genocide during which the larger zionist movement — which, of course, includes the Democratic Party — has likely slaughtered more than 200,000 Palestinians in Gaza. We need to take an honest inventory of our tactics, our analysis, and our commitments, given that, with less than 30 days until the US elections, we still have formations that are still supporting the Harris/Walz ticket and the broader Democratic Party. This means something — something horrific.

One Year – The New Inquiry

That day, a prison break. Displaced from their towns and villages all across Palestine during the nakba of 1947–1949, the people of the land held on to the promise of return, the commitment that has animated each new generation penned in by the forces of Zionism, Western imperialism, and Arab reaction. Over seven decades, they had been ethnically cleansed from their homes, pushed into a small strip of land that built upwards, forced to endure the tampering and testing. Outside their walls, apartheid highways ferried the machines for future construction and their new residents—the vengeful, the distracted—now made to taste fear anew.

Statement for the Anniversary of October 7th | IndyMedia

On the ground, Gazans broke the seventeen year siege, destroying the barriers that were installed by Zionist colonizers to bar our people from our lands, our histories, our futures. With their bulldozers and bullets, history was broken open – there is simply no going back.

Israel Defense Forces tells Ireland and Unifil to remove peacekeepers from Lebanese border outpost – The Irish Times

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has told Ireland to remove its peacekeepers from an outpost on the border with Lebanon as its invasion of the country continues.

Sources confirmed the request was made to the headquarters of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (Unifil) and individual countries contributing troops, including Ireland. Israel has been told the troops will remain in place.

There is one Irish outpost on the Lebanese-Israeli border, which is known as the Blue Line. This outpost, designated post 6-52, is manned by a single Irish platoon who are responsible for observing the border and reporting on incursions.

The area was the scene of intense fighting between the IDF and the militant Lebanese group Hizbullah earlier in the week, during which Israel suffered heavy casualties. Some of the fighting took place less than 2km from the Irish outpost.
