Since the Assembly of Caribbean People issued an Urgent Call for a Day of Solidarity with Cuba for Sunday June 14 support for the besieged island has continued to be mobilised throughout the Caribbean. June 14 is the 98th anniversary of the birth of the iconic Che Guevara; the 181st anniversary of the birth of legendary Cuban general Antonio Maceo; and June 3 was the 95th birthday of Raul Castro, former President and one of the historic leaders of the Cuban Revolution.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Solidarity Activity will take place on on Saturday June 13 (the anniversary of the assassination of Guyanese and Caribbean leader – Walter Rodney). The programme will include an update on the Solidarity Drive for Cuba launched last March in Trinidad.
